Along with the listed ingredients you need a deep Fryer with a deep pan basket, 6 paper towels, a large bowl, a large plate and finally an airtight plastic storage container.

Classic homemade potato chips recipe

White 4-6 potatoes

Water

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Salt

Wash and scrub of the skins to loosen up your potatoes with a vegetable brush to rubble. Remove skins from potatoes, using a paring knife or vegetable peeler. Use a knife, round or oval slices cut. Cut and remove any bad spots. Fill a large bowl with cold tap water and soak for 30 minutes segments in the water. Remove slices from water and pat dry with paper towels. Bring your deep Fryer, and set the temperature to 350 degrees. If the oil is hot and reaches the desired temperature set a handful of slices in the Pan basket and drop-down list in the oil. Deep fry your discs, until crisp and lightly browned. This process takes usually 2-4 minutes. Remove basket to hot oil, and let it through the deep Fryer for 2-3 minutes drain. Line a large plate or dish with 3 thick paper towels. Pour the chips on the plate and use a separate paper towel to off excess oil stain. Season with salt, if desired.

Optional: If you want to your potato chips, seasoned with old Bay, put some old spice Bay in an old salt shaker. Shake the desired amount on the chips. Wait 1 minute, turn up the chips and season of the other side.

Storage: As soon as the chips have cooled, you put in an airtight plastic container. Have a plastic cookie container to save this works well for you. Properly stored, if last weeks.
